Now that spring has arrived and the daily temperatures are starting to rise, more people are taking their bikes out for a ride. With warm weather comes excursions and increased use of bicycles for transportation. Despite the positive side of this in reducing traffic congestion and increasing rider fitness levels, there is a downside.
Along with the emerging spring cyclists come the bicycle thieves. They must lurk in the winter, filching one or two bikes from the slim pickings available in the cold. But in summer, they come out in full force to help themselves to the large number of bikes left unattended around cities and towns. Continue reading ….
