The first experience a child has of the world is his home. For the first few years of life, the home is all a child knows. It is the center of life and remains so until he has achieved a degree of independence.
Before independent thought and experience occurs, much of what each of us absorbs about the world originates in our homes. The views of our parents, siblings and extended family influence us.
Friends of the family come into our domicile, bringing with them strange habits and customs which we are taught not to point out. Yet, we see that other people are different from us, at least in certain ways. Continue reading ….
