It’s no secret to those who know me: I walk around with a camera most of the time. As the owner of more than one camera, I do not consider phone cameras to be real cameras.
Sure, you can take a snapshot with them. And the resolution has improved on smartphone cameras in recent years, but a camera phone lacks the controls necessary for artistic expression.
Not all of the photos I take are artistic. Some are not even good, from a technical standpoint. Still, in this day and age, it’s hard to resist capturing tidbits of life in digital format for entertainment, for prosperity and perhaps because we live in a visual world where images hold more meaning than words.
